Why would a dealer publish comparisons that favour a competitor?
Because a comparison where our product wins every row would not be worth reading, and you would know it. We sell Shift4 Dine and Clover. There are restaurants that are better served by Toast or Square and we would rather say so here than have you find out later.
Where do the figures come from?
Each page lists its sources with the vendor URL and the date retrieved. Where a vendor does not publish a figure, we write not published instead of repeating a number from a review site. Shift4 does not publish a software price or a card rate, and we say so plainly.
How current are these comparisons?
Every page carries the date it was checked. Vendor pricing changes without notice, so treat these as a starting point and confirm current figures with the vendor before you sign anything.
